NSW Arts Minister Virginia Judge officially opened the festival and told the crowd of more than 250,000 that the State Government would invest $1.75 million a year into the festival for the next five years.
Not quite, Sydney Morning Herald. She was cut short by the crowd waiting eagerly for the Reverend Al Green to perform on stage at the 2010 Sydney Festival.
My name is Kate. I was one of Amy’s closest friends before she passed away in July in a car accident. She was 26. For a long time I’ve been deliberating over whether I should post this and I haven’t known how to deliver the painful news to people I don’t know. I wasn’t even sure whether I should say anything at all, but I feel a responsibility to post this because Amy obviously felt this blog held some importance to her or she wouldn’t have continued posting until she did.

I have never read Amy’s blog until now. The comments left by readers is a true testament to the passion and flair she had when writing about a game she loved.

Her Tweets also give an interesting take as to what goes on behind the scenes (almost Hollowmen-esque) in Canberra. Utegate gold at its best.

Aside, one can’t help but think about what happens to our online properties when our time comes. What’s the best way to manage this?

Tony Abbott, meet Keyboard Cat.

(For the record, this is my first attempt at an internet video meme.)

Prince Philip. That is all.

The world’s most awesome photo right now.
Can you do better?

Yes but who do you think is more bodacious?
Cowabunga dude!
(Wow, that was an awkward return to blogging on my part.)

While Barack Obama had an official Tumblr for his Inauguration, Anna Bligh is the first politician to have a presence on this popular new blogging network.

FRIST!* Incumbent Queensland Premier Anna Bligh announces that she has joined the polaroid-taking, Gossip Girl-watching, ffffound-finding, Apple-hearting, self-portrait-taking, Katy Perry-following rebloggers posse on Tumblr.

* Deliberate typo.

Love it.

You’re a little nervous about this, right?
